Rice University's Baker Institute mourns the loss of Dr. John Mendelsohn, a pioneer in modern oncology who led the MD Anderson Cancer Center to national preeminence. As the Baker Institute’s Nonresident Fellow in Biomedical Research Policy, Dr. Mendelsohn continued his unwavering commitment to health care policy.
“With John’s passing, the Baker Institute has lost a friend, supporter and staunch advocate for the battle against cancer,” said Baker Institute Director Edward P. Djerejian. “We send our deepest condolences to his wife, Anne, and the Mendelsohn family.”
