Hidalgo

 

Miguel-Angel-Osorio-Chong  

Miguel Angel Osorio Chong

Miguel Angel Osorio Chong has announced his intent to run for Senate, representing his home state of Hidalgo. He served as Mexico’s secretary of the interior during the current administration. From 2005 to 2011, he served as the governor of Hidalgo. He served as a deputy for the state of Hidalgo from 2003 to 2005. PRI party members in Hidalgo have pledged to support his senatorial bid. Osorio holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from the Autonomous University of Hidalgo, his home state.

 




Mexico

Delfina Gómez Alvarez

The National Council of MORENA unanimously approved a resolution for Delfina Gómez Alvarez to run for a seat in the Senate representing the state of Mexico, by way of relative majority. Gómez has a degree in basic education from the National Pedagogical University. She served as a primary school teacher for most of her professional career.

 




Tlaxcala

Gelacio Montiel Fuentes is a PRD pre-candidate for the senate representing the state of Tlaxcala. He served as deputy in the LIX Legislature of the Mexican Congress representing Tlaxcala.

 




Puebla

 

Juan-Carlos-Lastiri  

Juan Carlos Lastiri

Juan Carlos Lastiri is seeking the PRI nomination as candidate for the senate representing the state of Puebla. He served as undersecretary for agrarian, land and urban development before announcing his resignation in January in order to run for office. He previously represented Puebla in the Mexican House of Deputies from 2009 to 2012.
