Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo - PAN-PRDDiego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo is the governor-elect of Guanajuato. He ran under the PAN-PRD coalition. In 2013, he served as deputy federal in the LXII legislature representing Guanajuato. He is also the former head of social development for the state.

Below are the candidates whose registrations were approved by the corresponding state electoral institute.
Gerardo Sanchez GarciaGerardo Sanchez Garcia is the PRI candidate for governor of Guanajuato. He currently serves as a senator for the state in the LXIII Legislature. Sanchez Garcia has served as municipal president of the city of Salvatierra and as president of the Confederacion Nacional Campesina. He holds a law degree from the University of Michoacan. Sanchez Garcia specialized in constitutional law and political science in Madrid, and received a master’s and a Ph.D. from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico.

Felipe Arturo CamarenaFelipe Arturo Camarena is the official gubernatorial candidate for PVEM. He served as federal deputy in the LXII legislature representing Guanjuato. He is the former secretary of public security in Guanajuato.

Maria Bertha SolórzanoMaria Bertha Solórzano is the official New Alliance party gubernatorial candidate for Guanajuato. She holds a degree in primary school education from the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, Unidad 112. She was the president of the state steering committee for New Alliance Guanajuato and the general secretary of the CES section of the National Union of Education Workers (SNTE).

Ricardo SheffieldRicardo Sheffield is the official gubernatorial candidate for Guanajuato of the Juntos Haremos Historia coalition. He holds a law degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana León and a master’s in private international law from Harvard University. He was previously the mayor of León. After 25 years of involvement with PAN, he relinquished his involvement with the party.

Antares Vázquez AlatorreAntares Vázquez Alatorre was a pre-candidate for governor for the MORENA party. She studied medicine at Universidad La Salle and received her doctorate in education innovation from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM). She is currently a professor at Universidad de La Salle Bajío and is the director of Renace Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology.
