Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy will host its 25th anniversary gala celebration on November 27, 2018. The event will highlight the Baker Institute’s 25th commemorative year under the theme “A Quarter Century: Making History.”
The 44th President of the United States, the Honorable Barack Obama, will be the institute's guest of honor and take part in a moderated conversation. With President Obama's participation, the institute will have the privilege of hosting every living former president since its inception.
The gala will be by invitation only for Baker Institute supporters and special guests. Ticket information and additional event details will be announced closer to the event date.
The honorary chairs throughout the institute's 25th anniversary year are the Honorable Hushang Ansary and Mrs. Shahla Ansary. The gala co-chairs are Franci Neely, Andrea White, John Nau III and Ned Holmes.
As part of its 25th anniversary commemoration, the Baker Institute is scheduling distinguished speaker events and conferences this spring and fall featuring its major research centers and programs. A list of the 25th anniversary programs is available here.
