Baker Institute Greenwich Forum
BENEFIT LEVELS MEMBERSHIP FORM |
In 2005, the Baker Institute formally established the Greenwich
Forum. This Forum is part of a broader initiative to build greater
support for the work of the Baker Institute in other areas of the
country. The purpose of this outreach program is to increase public
awareness of the institute’s research initiatives around the nation and
the world. Greenwich was chosen as the first city for this project
because of the community’s strong involvement in national and
international policy issues. The institute hosted two programs on behalf of this group in 2005. Ambassador Edward P. Djerejian traveled to Greenwich in May to formally announce the establishment of the Forum and welcome its founding members. In October, the Baker Institute hosted a lecture on “Oil and Royal Politics.” Baker fellow Amy Myers Jaffe, Wallace S. Wilson Fellow in Energy Studies, led a well-attended discussion on oil and Saudi politics at this event. In 2006, the Baker Institute will host two events as part of the Greenwich Forum. |
