Global Issues Series

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Mosbacher Global Issues Series honors the memory of former U.S. secretary of commerce and distinguished businessman Robert A. Mosbacher, Sr., by fostering constructive public policy dialogue and academic exchanges on the roles of international trade and commerce in economic and social development in emerging countries. By hosting academics, trade policy experts, policymakers and major stakeholders from the private sector at workshops, conferences and lectures on program-relevant topics, the series provides a significant contribution in various areas of economic policy. Previous Mosbacher lecturers include The Honorable Carlos Gutierrez, 35th secretary of the U.S. Department of Commerce; former Gov. Jeb Bush of Florida; and The Honorable Robert B. Zoellick, president of The World Bank Group.
