Biography:

Victoria Zyp, an art history, economics and policy studies major from Cincinnati, Ohio, graduated from Rice University in 2005. She assisted in research on health policy and public diplomacy at the Middle East Office of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Washington, D.C., in summer 2004. She presented the results of her research, “Using Health as Diplomacy: Globalizing Public Health,” at the Baker Institute in August 2004. Victoria was recommended for participation in the program by Kenneth Medlock and Peter Mieszkowski of the Department of Economics at Rice University. After graduation, Victoria worked as the international programs coordinator at Streetlaw in Washington, D.C., and in 2009 graduated from Georgetown University with a master’s degree in Arabic studies. In 2009, she began work as a regional field director for Organizing for America in Cincinnati, Ohio.
