Sarah Perelstein
Sarah Perelstein, an Asian studies and history major from Rye, N.Y., graduated from Rice University in 2007. She assisted in research on animal welfare laws and the regulation of a globalized fur industry at the Humane Society of the United States in Washington, D.C., in summer 2006. She presented the results of her research, “How the Global Fur Industry Presents a Case for Chinese Animal Welfare Laws,” at the Baker Institute in September 2006. In 2007, Sarah began work as a researcher monitoring the global fur industry at the Humane Society of the United States, and in 2009 worked on global strategies at Conservation International, also in Washington, D.C. In fall 2010, she began studies in environmental law at Lewis & Clark University Law School. |
