Rachel Solnick

Rachel Solnick, a film, policy and psychology major from Potomac, Md., graduated from Rice University in 2010. She assisted Barbara A. Ormond of the Health Policy Center at the Urban Institute in looking at local health care coverage systems in the United States, in summer 2009. She presented the results of her research, “Understanding Participation in Senior Fitness Programs,” at the Baker Institute for Public Policy in August 2009. Rachel was recommended for participation in the program by Professor of Biochemistry Michael Gustin. She received a Rice University Wagoner Scholarship to start master’s degree study in public health in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health at University College London.
