Joe Vavra
Joe Vavra, a mathematical economics and statistics major from Lucas, Texas, graduated from Rice University in 2006. He assisted in macroeconomic policy and tax policy research at the Council of Economic Advisers in summer 2005. He presented the results of his research, “Modern Unemployment Insurance Reform,” at the Baker Institute in September 2005. He assisted George Zodrow of the Economics Department and John Diamond of the Tax and Expenditure Policy Program of the Baker Institute in 2004 and was recommended for the D.C. internship program by Zodrow. In 2006, Vavra began doctoral studies in economics at Yale University. |
