Hrishikesh Hari
Hrishikesh Hari, an economics, policy studies and political science major from Decatur, Ill., graduated from Rice University in 2008. He assisted in research on a range of domestic and international policy issues in the office of Rep. Jim Gibbons (R-Nev.) in Washington, D.C., in summer 2005. He presented the results of his research, “Beyond Structural Adjustment: What Domestic Political and Socioeconomic Factors Affect Economic Growth in Developing Countries?” at the Baker Institute in August 2005. Hari was recommended by David Worth, director of forensics at Rice. Hari was a presidential fellow at the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress in 2007, and was named all-American in both the American Forensic Association and the National Parliamentary Debate Association in 2008. He began study at Harvard Law School in 2008 and interned at the U.S. Trade Representative’s Office in Washington, D.C., in summer 2009. |
