Fiona Adams
Fiona Adams, an anthropology and policy studies major from Pittsford, N.Y., graduated from Rice in 2010. In summer 2009, she examined the impact of low levels of health insurance coverage for children with Embry Howell of the Health Policy Center of the Urban Institute in Washington, D.C. She presented the results of her research, “Hospital Use by the Uninsured: The Case of San Mateo County, Calif.,” at the Baker Institute in August 2009. She was recommended for participation in the program by political science professor Karoline Mortensen. From 2009 to 2010, Fiona was an intern at St. Luke’s Episcopal Health Charities, and after graduation she began work as a research assistant with the Urban Institute’s Health Policy Center. |
