Cort Malmberg

Cort Malmberg, an English and political science major from Kodiak, Alaska, graduated from Rice in 2010. In summer 2009, he assisted Bryan Marcus of the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs of the State Department in analyzing affairs in Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus. In August 2009, he presented the results of his research, “Europe's Looming Crisis: Ukrainian Energy Dependence and Russian Neo-Imperialism,” at the Baker Institute. He was recommended for participation in the program by professor of political science Jerrold Rusk.
