Christina Tran
Christina Tran, a biochemistry and cell biology and German studies major from Atlanta, Ga., graduated from Rice University in 2004. She assisted in research on public health care services and the Vietnamese-American community at the National Alliance of Vietnamese American Service Agencies (NAVASA) in summer 2004. She presented the results of her research, “Disparities in Health Care: Barriers to Access and Policy Recommendations,” at the Baker Institute in August 2004. She was recommended for the program by Lauri Andress of the Texas Program for Society and Health. In 2004, Tran began studies at The University of Texas (UT) Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas, and in 2008, she became a resident in emergency medicine at Parkland Hospital and UT Southwestern, also in Dallas. |
