Arthi Satyanarayan
Arthi Satyanarayan, a senior from Chandler, Ariz., majoring in biochemistry/cell biology and religious studies, is interested in research on medical policy. Arthi assisted in research on Medicaid reimbursement and disparities in women’s health at the Planned Parenthood Federation of America in Washington, D.C. She presented the results of her research, “Addressing Providers in Health Care Reform: Increasing Medicaid Reimbursement to Eliminate Women’s Health Care Disparities,” at the Baker institute for Public Policy in August 2010. She was recommended for participation in the program by Baker Institute Fellow in Drug Policy William Martin, with whom she has assisted in research on drug policy, and she is from Sid Richardson College. Since 2008, she has also assisted Rebecca Drezek in the Department of Bioengineering in her research. |
