Ariel Rogers
Ariel Rogers, a senior political science major from Los Altos, Calif., worked on energy policy at the French Institute of International Relations (IFRI) in Brussels, Belgium during summer 2010. She assisted with IFRI conferences and also conducted her own independent research on policy issues surrounding maritime oil spills. This work culminated in a paper titled “Lessons Learned from Oily Pelicans: A Comparative Policy Paper on Maritime Oil Spill Disasters.” During fall 2010, Rogers worked as an intern in the Washington, D.C., office of U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer, D-Calif. In addition to fulfilling typical intern responsibilities, Rogers also completed a foreign policy project and attended briefings and hearings on health care, energy policy, immigration reform and finance. Following graduation, she will return to California to work in the central marketing organization of San Jose-based Cisco Systems. |
