Vivek Gopalan
Vivek Gopalan, a history and political science major from Los Cruces, N.M., graduated from Rice University in 2007. He assisted in research on the funding strategies of American public policy think tanks while interning at the Center for American Progress in Washington, D.C., in summer 2006. He presented the results of his research, “Investing in Change: Think Tanks and the Marketplace,” at the Baker Institute in August 2006. Vivek was recommended for the program by Randy Stevenson of the Department of Political Science at Rice University. After graduation, Vivek worked as the AmeriCorps Vista representative at Rice University’s Center for Civic Engagement, and in 2009 as the legislative correspondent for Congressman Harry Teague, D-N.M. In fall 2010, he began studies at University of California Berkeley School of Law. |
