Diana Tamari Sabbagh Fellow in Middle Eastern Studies
Sari Nusseibeh is the Diana Tamari Sabbagh Fellow in Middle Eastern Studies at the Baker Institute. Nusseibeh, who is president of the Al-Quds University in East Jerusalem, is working under the auspices of the institute’s Conflict Resolution Program. Nusseibeh has extensive knowledge of the sensitive issues surrounding the Middle East through his work as a representative of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and his founding of the People’s Voice initiative.
Nusseibeh is working with Yair Hirschfeld, the Isaac and Mildred Brochstein Fellow in Middle East Peace and Security in Honor of Yitzhak Rabin, and with the Baker Institute’s Palestinian Working Group, both at the institute and in the region. Nusseibeh lives in Abu Dis, a Palestinian village bordering Jerusalem.
