The Science and Technology Forum of the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy in conjunction with The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and Baylor College of Medicine will bring together and present business and community leaders, policymakers, ethicists, science journalists, and scientists to find new ways to engage the general public in a dialogue on these vital issues: Should the United States be involved in this type of research? What are the medical, political, and economic consequences of letting other nations take over the leadership role? How would the U.S. regulate the research if it were allowed?
