Event Description

His Excellency Shimon Peres, former Israeli prime minister, discussed conditions in the Middle East and Israel. He stated Israelis, for the most part, are committed to negotiating peace with Palestine, but they are in need of direction -- direction that will hopefully come from upcoming elections. He encouraged global leaders to focus on the need in developing a unified policy against Iran's nuclear program.
