Please join us for an important discussion about mobilizing business leadership for a national campaign to “Fix the Debt” that threatens America’s future. Rice University’s Baker Institute will host this lunch discussion with the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget's (CRFB) Fix the Debt campaign at noon on Thursday, Dec. 6, at Baker Hall on the Rice University campus. Featured speakers will be Maya MacGuineas, president of the CRFB, and John W. Diamond, Ph.D., Baker Institute fellow in public finance.
The Fix the Debt campaign is a bipartisan effort founded by Erskine Bowles and Alan Simpson and led by America’s civic and business leaders. The initiative seeks to raise awareness of the nation’s fiscal challenges and to persuade Congress and the president to enact a comprehensive debt reform package by July 4, 2013.
