Pablo Ava is vice president of the Foundation for Social and Economic Research (FINES), a public policy think tank based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and the author of “Federalismo Fiscal. Regulaciones al crédito público subnacional. Un enfoque desde la teoría del contrato” on fiscal federalism in Argentina. Currently an instructor at the Law School of the University of Buenos Aries, Ava also serves as a legislative adviser for the Argentine Chamber of Deputies and as an adviser to the Argentine Federal Investment Council. He served as the secretary of state of the government of the province of Entre Ríos from 1999-2003, and has worked as a consultant for numerous international organizations, Argentine national executive branch ministries, and various local governments in Argentina. A graduate of the University of Belgrano in political science and the University of Buenos Aires in law, Ava also holds a master’s degree in law and economics from the University Torcuato Di Tella.
