Freedom to Report: Journalism and Politics in Latin America

The Vecinos Lecture Series brings political and cultural leaders from Latin America to Houston with the aim of examining major issues facing the region. This year, three distinguished journalists from Nicaragua, Venezuela and Colombia will discuss the current state of affairs in their profession and analyze the role of journalists during political transitions. The three countries the panelists represent are undergoing important political changes, and their perspectives as journalists will provide insight on these shifts.
