His Excellency José Antonio Meade Kuribreña, secretary of foreign affairs of Mexico, provided exclusive insight into the country’s foreign policy during a May 14 event at the Baker Institute. Mexico has made an inspiring commitment to economic and social progress, approving dynamic energy, education, telecommunications, tax and election reforms. With more than 11 million Mexican citizens living in the United States and increasing integration between the two countries, understanding Mexico’s plans and aspirations has never been more important. This event, hosted by the Baker Institute's Mexico Center, highlighted the strong commitment of Rice University and the Baker Institute to the enduring U.S.-Mexico relationship.

A reception followed the event.
