Israel and Its Role in a New Middle East

His Excellency Daniel Ayalon, Ambassador of the State of Israel to the United States has been at the forefront of developing the strong relationship between the United States and Israel. He has worked extensively with the U.S. administration and Congress in advancing economic, political and diplomatic relations. Ambassador Ayalon played a leading role in the negotiations on the Roadmap for Peace and Israel's disengagement plan, including the exchange of letters April 14, 2004, between President George W. Bush and Prime Minister Sharon.
